Connection failed, check SQL Server Registration Properties

Hi,

I just installed SQL Server's Service Pack 3a, and now get the aforementioned error message when viewing the SQL Server Groups inside Enterprise Manager.

Has anyone got a suggestion about how to fix this?

Thanks,
Bob

Maybe the problem is that I chose the wrong one.  I use the full SQL Server on a Intel machine.  Which one should I use?

SQL2000.AS-KB884525-SP4-x86-ENU.EXE
SQL2000.MSDE-KB884525-SP4-x86-ENU.EXE
SQL2000-KB884525-SP4-ia64-ENU.EXE
SQL2000-KB884525-SP4-x86-ENU.EXE
Bob

MSDE is for desktop database engine.
ia64 is for 64bit machine.

SQL2000-KB884525-SP4-x86-ENU.EXE - SQL server SP4 for x86 machine (the one you want)
SQL2000.AS-KB884525-SP4-x86-ENU.EXE - client tools sp4 for x86 machine.
