I am setting up a sonic wall on a home network that will have kids and parents as users.
I ordered the protection plan which comes with virus and spyware filters.
I want the kids blocked for porn, etc.
I want the parents to get the benefit of the the virus and spyware filter, but have unlimited access.
I know that I can control access via IP or MAC address, however, that's not my preferred solution.
IP based control alone won't work because I have two different WAPs that assign IP addresses via DHCP.
MAC address could work if I take the time to enter the wireless and hardwire address of the parent systems.
I want to avoid forcing the parents to enter a password to get access to sites.
Am I missing something here, or is MAC address control the solution?
