Please Wait Message DURING a long query
This is related to question

I was watching this question because I have a similar requirement, but this didn't really answer it.
If I have a very long query, I'd like the message to stay on the screen while the query is executing, then to disappear and for the data to go out from the query.
I have a page that has two queries, one is quite fast and displays data, the other takes quite a while. I'd like to have the fast data go out, then have a message appear on the screen, indicating something like 'further data is being gathered, please be patent . . .
And maybe even have more ...'s appear, way one every 15 seconds would be a cool touch.
Then, when the query comes back, have the entire message go away and have the data display on the screen from the query.
Is this possible?
