asked on

how do i move the "my recent documents" folder to a different partition?

I thought that I made the necessary changes to the registry; however, every time I go to check and see if the "my recent documents" folder works in its new location, there is nothing in it.  I go back to the original location and there it is, after having been deleted, with the tested documents in it.

John & Namunday,

Just a suggestion but if neither of you object you could have this question deleted and continue the other question you posted on this issue (https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21744661/how-do-i-move-the-my-recent-documents-folder-to-a-different-partition.html).  Unless I missed something it looks like the information in this question is also in the other and everyone that has responsed here has also responded in the other question.  The advantage of doing this would be one consolidated question that could be worth 500 points.

If you would rather continue this question in this topic and have two, one in each topic, then please ignore the suggestion.

If you both agree then you can each reply here or in the question I posted in Community Support (https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21744758/New-member-wondering-why-his-question-deleted-Tried-to-answer-but-may-need-your-help.html).  Otherwise just ignore my post and continue on with the discussion.
