Is there a way in Javascript (using input type="file" input field) to detect the image's dimensions without it being on the server? I use the following code which works under IE only:
<input type="file"onchange="check(this)" />

function check(f)
{
      var img = new Image();
      img.src = f.value;
      alert(img.width + ' x ' + img.height);
}

The above code works only under IE. And Firefox and Opera will display 0 x 0. No problem if uses a 'http://' image file. Is there other way to get image dimensions in these three browsers?
