Hi:

I need a IF clause to determine whether data in a table exists, but the table name has to be determined dynamically, ie.

CREATE PROC spMySP (@priceDate varchar (8), @market varchar(4))
AS
DECLARE @myTable varchar(10)
SET @myTable = @market + '_categoryA'
IF exists (select * from @myTable where PriceDate=@PriceDate)
   --do something
ELSE
   --do something

I got "Must declare the variable '@myTable'" error. What can I do to get around the problem? Thanks.
