I have the following line in my page load:

btnDelete.Attributes.Add("onclick", "javascript:return confirm('Are you sure you want to delete this event?');")

If the user selects ok it goes to a Delete Sub. In the delete sub, I want an additional confirmation window to open to ask a question with a yes or no answer and perform a specific set of lines based on yes or no.

Thanks for your help.

Hi wilcor14,

Unfortunately, this isn't as easy as we all would like to make it... the only sure fire way to do exactly what you're talking about is to use AJAX, which utilizes client-side functionality and events to launch server-side code.

The best you can do without using AJAX is to probably do your first round of processing, then render your updates back to the browser, prompt the user again, and if they click OK for that, you PostBack to the server for another round of processing.... does that make sense?

AJAX is the sweet way to do it though.

Excuse my ignorance, but I don't know what Ajax is or how it works. Could you explain? Thanks

wilcor14,

Sorry about that....

What it is:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJAX

The next step of AJAX is how to implement it... I've used this Framework in the past and it works great:  http://ajaxpro.schwarz-interactive.de/

Wow, I didn't realize that was out there. I could think of some other things I could use it for.

It's looks complicated though. Is it a lot of work to use it such as installing etc.
