I have a HP DL360 (W2K Ad. Serv) connected to a HP MSA50 (U320 SCSI DAS) running SQL 2000 in the following disk config:
* 2x 72Gb Mirror (OS + Program files)
* 2x 143Gb Mirror (DBs)
* 2x 143Gb Mirror (Trans-Logs)
* 2x 143Gb Mirror (Full Text Cat)
All data on the mirror sets comes to less than 15Gb p/partition, I want to swap out all the 143Gb drives and put 72Gb drives in place - I want to minimize the amount of downtime to SQL and can't afford to lose any data.
Can anyone steer me in the right direction - I have 4 spare bays in the DAS and have all the blank 72Gb drives, I need to move all the data across. Anyone been through this before, is ghosting/cloning best?
