Have user that suddenly keeps asking for network password and keeps popping up, XP & outlook 2003 (was working fine)

System working fine on Friday came in on Monday after opening OUTlook 2003 it keeps popping up asking for Network password.

Can access email account on via web mail
Server is Linux and not on site
All other offices and machines working fine.
Changed password same results
deleted account and recreated account with same results
did system restore to Friday same results ( but it installed MS updates)
did system restore and did not let updates install same results

I am not on site and only can go by what they tell me and what I tell them to do

Any ideas?

Greetings, ssaver !

1. Reset a toolbar template file that often causes Outlook problems.  With Outlook close, do a search for outcmd.dat file and rename it.  Reopening Outlook will recreate the file.

2. Register an important Outlook file. Go to Start > Run and type regsvr32 OLE32.DLL

3. Create a new Outlook profile.

4. Repair Outlook. With Outlook open, go to Help > Detect and Repair.

5. If no joy, reinstall Outlook.  Go to Add/Remove Programs and highlight Microsoft Office. Click on Install/Uninstall.  A menu will pop allowing you to choose repair or reinstall.

Thanks for the suggstions
Tried the long shot no dice

I am having them send me the system so I can work on here.

I created a new email account for the user on a different PC and set up forwarders for the old account to the new
will try what war1 suggestied when i can touch and feel the computer.

Thanks agian will let you know what I find.
