Dlink DFL-700

Hi,

I want to set up logging on this dlink dfl-700 firewall and have enabled syslog and the audit log and have assigned it to a machine to send to but where do i look for this file??? what is it called?? what is the sylog protocol???  Some help
please....

I want to see what ports are being blocked.

There is actually an utility that comes with the router that you have to install on your LOG RECEIVER computer. You have to configure it first in order for it to work as a log receiver.

On the firewall when you configure the logging you have the option to enter two up to syslog servers.  Just enter the server name you whish to send the files to, then on the server you specified install something like the "kiwi Syslog Daemon" to collect the logs (link below):
