Part of this php script reads in all text files and stores them into an array.

How do I convert this to perl?  what is an equivalent to preg_match in perl?

opendir($test_dir);
while($test_file = readdir($dh)) {
  if(0 < preg_match('/.+\.txt$/', $txt_file)) {
    $files2mix[] = $txt_file;
