If no changes have been made to AD how much traffic is generated with the regular chatter of domain controllers? Also, if I make a change, does just the change replicate or does it replicate more than just the change? I'm nearly sure it replicates just the change but just want to be 100% sure.
In brief, the reason I ask is that we have a client that wants to have nearly immediate (or as nearly as possible) AD replication. However, they are a multi-site single domain and as such are connected via various speed WAN links. I know how much bandwidth they have, and as long as they have plenty compaired to the extra load of configuring them as a single site, I may just do that to increase their speed. Or, at the very least I can reduce the default cross site replication time.
The question is rather urgent thus the high point value.
Thanks for you help,
