I receive SMART message saying "physical drive 0 may fail soon". I have run a few tests including Spinrite and Diskchecker and every thing seems to be normal. The chkdsk command also runs smoothly. When I run another software
"diskcheckup" I receive the following info which is pasted below. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks and best regards
Celal

The SMART technology on the hardrive is flagging you that there is imminent failure.  Backup what you can now and replace the drive.

Thanks to you all,
but running to a store to buy a new hdd makes me feel like giving it up easily. Ok, it all started when I formatted
my hdd to reinstall XP and later all the Toshiba drivers. Later it started to give the SMART warning. If I get it right
reallocation failure is not a physical or surface defect. My hdd has two partitions on it C:\  NTFS and D:\ FAT 32
I had formatted only drive C to reinstall XP. What happens if I format both C & D and try to reinstall everything from scratch?
