How to remove Office 2000 on a Windows 2003 terminal server in application server mode?

Hi all,

Here's a good one, at least I think.  I installed office 2000 sr-1 on a Windows 2003 server.  Later I configured terminal services in application server mode.  I have various flaky issues with TS clients running Office apps.  I want to uninstall then reinstall Office in an attempt to resolve these issues but when I try to do so I get the error message "Some default settings in Microsoft Office 2000 setup do not work properly on a Windows Terminal Server. To install Office on Terminal Server you must use the instructions and tools available in your Office 2000 Resource Kit or at http://www.microsoft.com/Office/ORK" ahh I can hear your thoughts now...easy points you think.  Except I too am familiar with this and the solution in http://support.microsoft.com/?id=283675.  The problem is that I get this message even with the transform file.  I think its because I installed office with out the transform prior to configuring TS.  I've tried removing the office directory and the registry entries under HKLM and HKCU to no avail.  Also its worth mentioning that Office was not installed with the default path.  Thanks for your help.

Well, I ate my words.  I guess they were easy points.  Thanks so much.  I ran the office removal utility.  It removed most of the office files then it launched the installer and I got the same error.  I manually removed the remaining files ran the Windows Installer Cleanup, removed Office using it then reinstalled using the transform with no problems.  My office glitches are fixed as well.  Thanks again!!!
Glad it worked out so well, thanks for the grade :)

ps. these are certainly no easy points, they are harder then putting up some code where you can actually test if it works ;)
