Added new users account to Win2k3 w/ Exchange, but no mailbox..?
howdy!
Added a new user to my Win2k3 server and 'created' the mailbox on server2 (as opposed to server1 which has win2k and exchange 2k) which are both part of the same domain. After adding the accoint, the mailbox never appeared, though I have the option to "move" the mailbox (which subsequently errors out.) but the mailbox exists somewhere. I've been troubleshooting the RUS, and selected it to update now, to no avail, even on both servers. Then I was checking KB 316622 which essentially remakes the SystemMailbox ID. This ID exists, but how to I see if it is attached to an AD account? Does this even apply?
I reregsiterd the exodbprx.dll file... but do I really need to recreate the SystemMailbox ID? How can I tell if this is even the problem. The Event logs dont show anything of too much interest. SHould there be something specific I am looking for? Somewhere else I saw it mentioned 'network problems' and nothing else. Could anyone elaborate on that??
I had this issue with another client, and somehow got the id to appear.
Maybe simply a server reboot?? Anyone..? Anyone???
Thanks!

mailboxes sometimes don't show until a message is sent to them. You could also check to make sure that the "Mail" and "mailNickname" values are populated in adsiedit.
