Hi -

I purchased a Dell laptop for a client a while back, not alert of the fact that the 'ExpressCard' format is replacing the PCMCIA format for laptop cards.

The client bought a Verizon card (PCMCIA) and cannot use it on the laptop.  Cards for the ExpressCard format are not even being produced yet.

So my questions are, why is this new format taking over before all the hardware is even available for it?

My more important question, for the point reward, is, is there an ExpressCard to PCMCIA converter out there?  If not, is there such a device as a USB to PCMCIA converter?
