Navigate around the same page

Hello everybody,
Cannot recall how to do it but have a strong feeling that it was possible in HTML...

I want to have a table of contents on the top of my page and all items would be linked to description below. When the user clicks any item in the table of contents she should be taken to a proper section ON the same page.

I undestand that it would be href's or it might be links and I do remember it's something about having # somewhere - but that's all I can remember...

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That's called a bookmark...
create a link to where to this:
<a href="#test">Goto Test</a>
it must have '#' and then the name of the field

here is the destination field:
<p><a name="test"></a></p>
