Bulk export Bulk Import Exchange Mailboxes.
I have to migrate part of the data of an exisiting server to a new SBS 2003 server.
I want to dump a selection of users mailboxes into the new server.
Can somebody advise me how to do that?

If you are planning to move mailboxes, i.e. migrate, you can migrate only 4 mailboxes at a time.
Is that a limitation of the standard edition of Exchange 2003?
I don't agree with the comment. There's no limit defined by MS of moving mailboxes form one server to another.
Thanks
Thanks
Kunal,
I believe what einstein was saying is that, you can move 4 mailboxes simultaneously. Which is correct.
As with Exchange 2003, now the move mailbox wizard is multi threaded and it moves 4 mailboxes simultaneously.
You can change that setting in registry if required.
Also if you are using exmerge, you have to see which version of exchange it is.
Because the .pst file also has a limit of 20GB (unless you are using exchange 2003 in unicode mode format).
Hope that helps.
Thanks

It moves 4 mailboxes at a time, but you can flag any number to be moved. Same with exmerge. It processes four at a time, but you can flag as many as you want.
well I did face it during my migration.
Yes Kunal that is what I meant

Have to migrate 20 mailboxes from an existing mail server differant organization to our new Exchange 2003 server.
Don't know what mailserver they are using just mailed the question to them.
Am I allowed to rename the pst to new usernames and then import them with exmerge?

Is the new server on the same network? Are you actually migrating? Or just increasing available storage by implementing another server?
You don't have to use exmerge to move them to another server. Moving mailboxes is available thru exchange tasks.
