Nvidia 6600 vs. 6600GT

My onboard video does not work with FS2004 and the advanced tech support guy at Microsoft recommended a Geforce 6600 card vice 6600GT... Does this sound reasonable? I looked on the nvidia web site and the information there kind of contradicts what this guy told me....

I am looking for the best results for FS2004 within a budget and real-life experience is always appreciated. I have a Abit KV-80 motherboard with 1GB of ram and a sempron 2800 processor. Obviously I am looking for an AGP card.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

A 6600GT is sufficient to run most 3D games, as long as AA is not enabled and the resolution is not the highest.  It is a great value mid-range card and I would recommend it, having bought one myself.
