erd diagram
I connect to oracle database using toad and in the schema browser , i see the schema and all the tables in the schema. Now I want to generate teh erd diagram and have it printed out in a big paper (not the a4 size) . How do i go about doing this . I can understand better if i see all th tables and their relationships (with all those lines) connecting the tables.....
I agree, you have to use a tool that is designed to do ERD diagrams, and TOAD is not designed to do that. There are a number of tools that can do ERD diagrams. Do you have one of them?

I believe that Visio is capable of that. Probably not the best tool, but it will work. For reverse engineering diagrams, I have found it does a pretty good job. I would not use it for forward engineering, but I do use it quite often to reverse engineer a diagram from existing tables.
