Read Console and stop processing

I had a Console.something before which would stop the debugging and read out what the console has so far...I forget how I did this and can't find it on the net.   For a VB.NET console app, if I want to do the equivilant of a Respone.Write in ASP Classic, how would I do this to see what the console has done so far...to help pinpoint some problems>

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

equivalent of response.write would be Console.Write() or Console.WriteLine.
Execution will be halted using Console.Read() after you press enter the execution will continue

Why dont you debug you application from visual studio and set a breakpoint in a line you wish to check?
