Winfax Pro Crashing
When clicking on the send log in Winfax Pro, the application closes.
Event ID 1000 in the event log AppName: FAXMNG32.exe
We had a power outage while the system was sending a group of faxes so I think that there just may be some corruption in the data directory.

I moved ALL of the FXR and FXD files out of the data folder. Same exact issue remains.

No. I'm concerned about dialing rules, modem setup, email notifications, custom folders, etc.
Would these stay in tact if I re-installed over the top?

Hi mcrossland,
If you only do a reinstallation yes, if you uninstall and install again the answer is no .

mcrossland,
Do you have outgoing faxes still pending? If so, try clearing them and attempt to send a new one.

I was able to send a new one. That was the first thing that I checked.
I tried running the cd to install over the top and it didn't let me. Stated that I had to uninstall first then re-install.
Here is something that I MAY find funny tomorrow.
<useless information>
I contacted Symantec and had my credit card ready. Sat on hold for about 45 minutes. The person obtained all of my contact info, problem description, etc....
After he was completely done squeezing me for all my information he said...
"At this point I am going to have to inform you that we cannot support you since Winfax PRO is installed on a Server operating system. Here is your incident number."
I said, incident number? Aren't we done here? jeez.....
one of those days.
I just finished uninstalling. Re-booting, then gonna re-install.
