Email/Upload Picture From Mobile Phone

Hello Experts,

I have no idea of working on Mobile Applications but has got a requirement from the client, where I have to facilitate the mobile user to upload a picture from his/her mobile phone and it has to reflect on the website. While I can handle the website portion of it, I am stuck at how to upload the picture from a mobile.

Can anyone please help me immediately?

I want to work using C# .NET SDK, so please give me a solution on this language.

Thanx and Regards,

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Every phone and carrier transfers photos differently.  What is the target device and carrier of the mobile user?

You can't make a single solution that will work for any camera phone from any carrier.

Your best option is to take advantage of whatever system the carrier already has deployed.  For example, many phones send pictures by MMS.  Make a server to receive the MMS and extract the photo.  Other carriers send photos by e-mailing links to on-line albums.  Make a server to receive the mail, parse it, and retrieve the photo.

Ideally you could use the Windows Mobile 2005 api, this will work with Visual Studio 2003 .NET and Visual Studio 2005, and C# is an option. But the smartphone would have to be pretty new. If this is an option there is a built in camera api.
