Migration to IPv6 Strategy

Hi all,

This is more of a IT strategy question than a technical one. My organization has decided to embrace IPv6, and I've been tasked with the unenviable task of designing and drafting a new proposed IP architecture that will leverage IPv6's new capabilities. My organization is fairly large and disparate, with various networks in place in remote offices, all managed by their own admins. My question is, in tackling such a huge task, as a start, what are some of the things that should be addressed first? What would be the right questions to ask? Is there a good resource for architecture design for migrating from IPv4 to IPv6? Has anyone here successfully accomplished this daunting task? Thanks very much in advance for your assistance.

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
