I have a quick question is it possible to have these directives in a .htaccess file.

I a file name called "helpme.html" can I have i stated in the .htaccess file to go to "helpme.php"

and the same thing for "faqs.html" it should direct to "faqs.php"

Can I write this in the .htaccess file and how would it be written?

Thanks in advance
