I get this "Generic Host Processes For Win 32 Services" error on my screen at startup. How do I stop this from happening?

I was able to solve this problem by running a special scan that I found elsewhere in experts exchange.  It was a scan called "sfc /scannow" and it recopied the Windows protected base files from my XP Pro disc.  After the cycle was finished both problems were solved including the svchost.exe application error.
