Same data on multiple pages with Crystal Report 8.0
Hi everybody :
I have a report with Crystal Report 8.0 : a main report and 5 sub-reports. The sub-reports are linked to to main by a column retrived through my query against an Oracle DB.
My issue is that the same data are displayer on 7 pages for 1 main report record!!
Any suggestions
Thanks

Kermiche, I am not quite understand your problem, could you pls explain further with some example?
I guess there must be some linking problem between your main repot and subreport, remember to check the "Select subreport data base on field" option.

Thanks Dylan for the suggestion. It works now but ... only for one page, when i move to the second (a new page) it pops up to me "the page size was not large enough to format the contents of an object in the report" error.
PS. I put the PAGE FOOTER, REPORT FOOTER as well as the GROUP FOOTER to "supress"
It's a bit urgent ...
Thanks

Thanks dylan for your answer :
But no I didn't. However I checked the 'New Page After' in the detail section, Do I have to 'Suppress' this section to have the expected results ?
It seems that my 3 pages related to on group of data shows up fine but when I move to the next page (4) I got "the page size was not large enough to format the contents of an object in the report" error
Thanks in advance

Hi Kerm, why did you checked "New page after" in the detail section? that means for every detail you will result on a new page...
If you uncheck the option, will it give you the error? just a testing.

1) un-check the <keep object together> checkbox on the <common> tab - this allows a page break in the middle of the sub-report if needed, so that they will not each start a new page even if it's too big to fit all of the data onto the existing page...
2) you can also confirm that <can grow> is checked on, and then after you have said <OK> and return to the main report design view... you can now size the sub-reports to be quite small in height, and becuase of the <can grow> they will still provide enough rows to show all of your data
hope that helps :)
