strange form submission

I have a contact form on a website.

For some reason, over the last few minutes, I keep getting strange submissions.

I am getting this in one field:

an Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=67e8836e412fe9c4a82064d73d8f1cee MIME-Version: 1.0 Subject: before the mortal. ertainly, replied tto the great men bcc: tlcc00perfamily@aol.com This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --67e8836e412fe9c4a82064d73d8f1cee Content-Type: text/plain; charset=\"us-ascii\" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit read it in his eyes. es, but it is precisely that which makes him interesting said ophie he is thus a handsome --67e8836e412fe9c4a82064d73d8f1cee-- .

Does this mean anything to anyone?

what is "multipart/alternative"

Is there a way to prevent someone from doing this?

It is php

I have a form that emails me.

I think some robot or something is doing it.

Is there any way to stop this?
Stop what?
1. Stop emailing you? Alter the robot's code.
2. Stop sending you the header information? Alter the robot's code.

Either way you will have to see what the robot is doing, why it is sending you this information.  I have no idea why.  My best guess is if it is coming from POST, then there might be hidden form inputs <input type="hidden"> with that information inside them.  The rest is straightforward data from the form.

What you are getting are the email headers for the email you recieve. It could be that you have changed some setting in your email program so it now display the 'raw' email rather than displaying it in HTML format or plain text.

If You have recently fiddled with you mail program you should be able to fiddle some more and fix the problem that way.

But the most likely cause is some error in the server sending the mails. if the headers are formatted badly they may not be properly recognized as headers and will then show up as text in your mailreader.

And this you can do nothing about. It can be fixed only by the people sending you those mails.

It may be a good idea to wait a couple of days and see if they fix the problem themselves.
I really doubt that is the case

I have a bunch of fileds, like name, phone number, address, city
Every filed is filled in with something that is supposed to be an email address that does not exist (it is my domain and I didn't create them), and one field is filled with junk.

The emails are some random stuff followed by the domain where the form resides. (mydomain = the domain I have the form on)
now8204@mydomain.com
thy9017@mydomain.com
fav2556@mydomain.com
have5835@mydomain.com
tillygram1877@mydomain.com

The email looks correct, but one filed is filled with junk.

There is no reason any part of "read it in his eyes. es, but it is precisely that which makes him interesting said ophie he is thus a handsome"
should ever be in the zip code, address, or  field of my form.

It looks like the every filed was filled with the email as stated above, then each filed, in sequence was filled with junk.
the first time, it was the phone field, then the address, then the city, then the zip.

not only that, but I got 5 submissions in less than 5 minutes.

It is not a case of someone filling out the form correctly.
something or someone is doing something bad.
That sound more like some spammer hijacking your form to send Spam from your mailserver. If the server processing the form and sending you the contact mails is not yours there is nothing you can do about it.

If it is yours you should reprogram the phpcode sending the mail so it checks the datafields for validity and ignore any form submitted that do not have your contact page as referrer.
Normally when you send an email that consists only text or html, the content-type is text/plain.
multipart/alternative or multipart/mixed is when you attach some file. Is there any possiblity
someone is trying to send you more then just the information you want?
Try to open for ex. a pdf file in some file editor and paste all the content itto your form. Then send it.
I am getting 5 variations of this in a minute.

No one is emailing me, they are filling out a form.

It is definitely a computer program.
