Symantec's 'Disk to Disk" cloning and Sysprep Question
I currently have a W2K Pro workstation that has a very small hard drive in it (4GB). My intentions are to replace it with a new larger hard drive (40GB).
We are using Symantec's Ghost v8.2 on our network
Has anyone out there have experience with Symantec's "Disk to Disk" cloning ?? Is there any preparation that I have to do to the new hard drive ??
Does "everything" just carry over to the new hard drive after the cloning is done (ex. SID's / Computer name)? What problems if any can I expect? The "Disk to Disk" cloning will only be performed on this computer and then the old hard drive will be destroyed.
Do I have to run SysPrep prior to doing "Disk to Disk" cloning? It seems to me that you use Sysrep if you want to use an image taken from one computer and push it to several, not just one computer in my case.
