I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Greetings, kellyputty !

Download the Mailredirect extension from this link
http://mailredirect.mozdev.org/

Open up Thunderbird. Click on Tools > Extensions > Install.  Navigate to the location of Mailredirect extension. Double click on the file to install it.

Close and reopen Thunderbird, which will intall the extension.

Highlight the emails that you want to move.  Right click on it and click on Redirect.  Fill in the email address and click send.

Best wishes!

ah thanks war1.

I thought the redirect's function was used to autmatically forward emails from Thunderbird to gmail for example.  Do you know how to do that in Thunderbird.

I want to be able to get my emails via web interface.

MailRedirect move the emails from Thunderbird to any email address.  But it is not automatic.  You have to forward them manually.   You do not have to forward one at a time.  Highlight a group of emails, then right click and select Redirect.

The headers are correct after forwarding with MailRedirect.  The dates are change to the present.

You wrote, "I want to be able to get my emails via web interface."  I am not sure what you want here.  If you move your emails from Thunderbird to Gmail server, you can access the emails via web interface.
