FTP Server Configuration on Redhat REAS 3

Dear;
        I'm new to linux, I'd like to configure linux as ftp server, I have installed redhat enterprise advanced server 3 for this, now i need step by step information regards how to install and configure ftp server on redhat, which server of ftp i need, and what is the configuration steps to prepare this server for users access...

       plz i need full configuration, this will be more helpfull for me...

Dear

      i checked the link you provided, I copied proftp to / , then i run ./configure, make and make install, i understood that there are many proftpd.conf file i can work in accodring to my needs, isnt ?, your sinario is good, so what is the next step...

for example: if i need users to browse their homes as your sinario or using the browser as we open ftp sites: ftp://xxxxxxxxxx , and allow them to download and upload files to their homes from from locally site for example
, what i need to do next ..

plz provide me with steps and i also will check the site you provided ...
