ActiveX setting JavaScript var

I have an activeX control hosted on the web.  The web page uses javascript.  I would like to set variables declared by JavaScript like:

1. parent.Done = true;
2. parent.parent.StopFlag = true;

How do I set these variables from inside my activeX control???
