Can you ping domain name, such as www.yahoo.com?

If yes, then ping is OK, check if there is firewall blocking the http access.

If no, then you need to edit /etc/resolv.conf file, and put in the DNS server information as follow:

nameserver   123.123.123.123

where the no. after nameserver is the IP address of your DNS server. You may have a few lines of nameserver.

when i use "startx" command linux searches for something and gives me this error

could not look up internet address for(none)
This will prevent GNOME from operating correctly
It may be possible to correct the problem by adding (none)
to the file /etc/hosts

What is the result when you type these 2 commands:

ifconfig -a

route

You mean, your server IP address is 69.116.137.20 and the gateway from route command is also 69.116.137.20?

This could be the problem. Your gateway should be the IP address of the router or firewall of your next hop, connected to the internet. If your server is directly connected to the internet, ask your ISP about the gateway address. If your server is located inside a datacenter, asked the vendor about the address.

You can change the gateway address in the config file /etc/sysconfig/network

To reflect the changes, you need to issue the command "service network restart" or reboot the server.
