Filemaker 7 query with date/time parameter

I am submitting a query to the Filemaker 7 web publshing engine.  everything is working fine, but I need to submit a query which compares a date to a datetime field.    here is the query i've written

http://.../fmi/xml/fmresultset.xml?-db=elected_officials_sync&-lay=elected_officials&-find&date_modified=03252006&date_modified.op=gt&-max=100

i can't figure out how to format the date properly and can't find any documentation on this.  what is the right syntax for this puppy?

using the regular fm client, you need to format the comparison string as a timestamp format, ie:
>= 03/25/2006 00:00:00,*
using the web access, the date seems to be different, but there must be something for time as well in a timestamp search.
cheap altenative:
create an extra field = date (datetime) and search in this one
