PIX525 OS upgrade
PIX525 with 256MB RAM, 16MB FLASH still running 5.2(5). I like to upgrade it to 6.3 and eventually to 7.x. Can someone please give me detail instructions for a best/safest way to upgrade? Thank you.

Do I need to delete the old image on my flash before copying the new one over? Also, will it ask me to enter keys for my software such as DES, 3DES, etc.. Thank you.
You should not have to delete the old image first.
It will not ask for a new key.
It will not ask for a new key.

Sorry I wasn't being specific. I like to enable 3DES on my pix and I already received the key from Cisco. Is there another image i need to download and at which point I will need to enter the software key? Thank you.

Great. Thank you very much for your help.
5.2 should give you the ability to simply upgrade to 6.x using the following commands:
pix#copy tftp://1.2.3.4/pix635.bin flash:
Where 1.2.3.4 = IP address of your TFTP server

Once you've upgraded to 6.x you will have to convert any conduits to acls before upgrading to 7.x
Here's a document that is a "must read" before upgrading from 6.x to 7.x
