Forwarding emails to 1 email account, will like to reply with correct forwarded email address??

Hello,

I setup email forwarding on my webhosting mail manager.  I setup info, webmaster, and returns to be forwarded to sales@domain.com.  Now the email forwarding is working fine.  I receive all my emails in Outlook 2003 and I even setup rules so the emails go into the correct folders that I created in Outlook.

Now my question is how can I have the correct email address show up in the "From:" box when I reply to email messages?

When I receive an email from webmaster@domain.com and then click reply my default email address is the one that shows up when I send the email, which is sales@domain.com.

Thank you,

DaliSalv22

Hi DaliSalv22!

There are 2 ways to do this.  One is to setup the POP accounts in Outlook for each of the accounts (info and webmaster) instead of forwarding the mail to sales@domain.com.  This way, when you receive the email from that account, it will automatically know which account it was received from, and send it via that account too.

The other way is, in Outlook, press Reply to the message, then select View > From Field.  This will bring up a field above the "TO" field that will allow you to type in an address that you would like it to be visible "From".  However, this way, it will say in the From field of the person you are sending it to that it was sent from "sales@domain.com on behalf of webmaster@domain.com".

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

Dave

Hello,

Are these the only ways I will be able to do this?  I thought I read somewhere online that I can assign each folder I have to reply with the correct email address?  Did you ever hear about this?
