man it told me nothing I am so confused and nothing short of wiping clean seems to be what I should do but really do not want to.Thanks for your attempt to help
my friend the problem with BSOD is that there are so many different possibilities in what causes them, ranging from hardware, to incompatible software to malware, what we have to narrow down is which category it is and then we can get further,   that hijack this link telss us if its malware, if that comes back clean then we know its hardware or bad software

di dyou make any changes to the system when this started happening? - anything at all

Not that I recall.I do have computer set to auto updates from MS and a hotfix may have loaded.I do think Adobe Reader was also updated...should I remove it and see if it is the culprit? When hijack came back it said all was ok
ok so we narrowed out spyware - good

i would uninstall the latest adobe update and see how that goes. let me know

it looks like it is your hardware link then

do you have a different IDE cable that you can try and plug the disk into the board with?

does the disk make any weird noises at all and what is the disk model - will try and find some hardware diagnostics for you
