The sendmail.mc file did not get over-written, but got modifed.<br />

A sendmail security release upgrade (sendmail-8.12.11-4.24.1.l<wbr />egacy.src.<wbr />rpm) was installed two nights ago. Since that time our configuration that used to allow SMTP Auth from Outiook no &nbsp;longer accepts logins for outgoing mail. (We have people who travel and need to use this feature). We are running Redhat 9.<br />

When I attempt SMTP Auth login by using the 'test connection' button in Outlook with a known account, I see this line immediately in the /var/log/maillog file:<br />

ool-4572078X.dyn.optonline<wbr />.net [69.114.7.XXX] did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA<br />
