how do I set the CheckedValueChanged event for a DataGridViewCheckBoxColumn?

CellContentClick of the DataGridView will fire when the checkedstate of your dataGridViewComboBox cell changes by mouse or keypress.
You check which column the event occurs for using the ColumnIndex of DataGridViewCellEventArgs.

You can also use CurrentCellDirtyStateChanged, see

As for hooking directly up to the CheckBox you could probably do that in the EditingControlShowing event of the DataGridView and add an event handler there and remove it again in the EndEdit event, (It works with DataGridViewComboBoxCell but I haven't tried with checkboxCell) but that seems overly complicated.
