I need to setup an ftp server which can manage quota for users. I am currently using Windows 2003 server.
I know it can be done in some way (which i dont know) with active directory and microsoft FTP.

Isnt out there a open-source one like FileZilla but with the quota managment feature?

Do you mean FTP TRANSFER quotas or FILE STORAGE quotas?

Jhance,

That would be file storage quota, and know that you mention it, also ftp transfer quota.

locate in Internet Information Server, expand your listed server and it will display FTP.  Here you can configure to your desire.
I recommend Serv U FTP Server: http://www.serv-u.com/

It has all the options that you need.  You can download a free 30-day trial and then the purchase price is $49.95 for the standard edition.

Hope this helps.

That link shows you how to enable quotas.. apply to either users or groups in Active Directory services.  Once done, include that into your FTP settings.

It's always best to use a native software to the server OS versus 3rd party.
