Ableton Question running a bit slow

I am running ableton live 5.02, have just installed my new creative E-MU sound card(s) and ableton now runns really jumpy,

the cpu is runnung at 70-85% even when ableton is idle,

has anyone anyideas on what might be causing this or what can be done to resolve this.

Hi Shane,

I am sorry to say, but Creative cards are usually not the best choice for sound- and music production, even not now when some of their cards support ASIO 2.0. Have you checked that you are using the ASIO drivers instead of for example the Windows drivers?

It seems from your words that you had it running well before right?

What are your computer Specs?
