Addresses not coming up correctly.

User is experiencing problems when addressing emails.  When user types in an internal users last name, it prompts her with the suggestion, but when she clicks on "check name" or ALT+K, which does the same function), it tells her that the name cannot be found and then automatically populates the field with the valid email address but tacks on the recipients name minus the last name.  Example, types in Dougl then checks name, gets "Douglas, G. Brad; G. Brad".

The autocomplete feature of Outlook draws the name from Contacts list and from a .NK2 file.  Make sure the desired Contacts name is inputed correctly in Contacts list.

The NK2 file may be corrupt.  Do a seach for the NK2 file and rename it.  NK2 file is located in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsof\Outlook folder.  It is a hidden file. Go to any folder and select Tools > Folders Options > View. Check "Show hidden files and folders".  Click OK.

Close Outlook before you rename the NK2 file. When you open Outlook again, Outlook will recreate a new NK2 file.  You old address entires will be gone. So new entries need to be typed in and remembered.
