I'm  just trying do download a large  .mpg file  and it keeps saying: Operation timeout "The connection with the server was reset"

Is there any way to increase the idle/ disconnect time so that it never resets????

I want it to keep trying no matter how "stuck" it gets.

Well it appears what ever server you are downloading from is keeping you from completing the download. Try a download manager and see how that works...As long as the server supports it this will allow you to pickup were the download left off.

Please use download managers for this...

Try www.flashget.com

This is not a solution, this is a bypass and should be removed

lets say that you are downloading a file from rapidshare as free user then this manager doesnt work so use this manager or use this firefox addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9779 to enjoy and in fire fox you can increase the time of this reset in about config
