Can you run WinRar itself using command line switches?

When u install winrar you also get rar.exe which is the command line version.  However kicking it off means you end up with a command prompt flashing onto the screen which is just plain ugly.  Not only that but it also means it's hard to actually determine what exactly is happening because you don't have direct control of the rar.exe.  If you are willing to settle for zipping things instead (not THATmuch difference in compression ratios and u don't have to worry about customers not having winrar) you should look for ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib, it's free and works like a charm.  Well except in web pages and the .NET IDE I sometimes get an access denied to ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll for some stupid reason, but all you need to do is stop and then start again.  For my site it happens about 1 in 5 runs, but only in the .Net IDE, the website works 100%.
