I need help with a IP KVM

I have a computer that is located about 300 miles from my current location.  I would like to know if there is an inexpensive IP KVM that I can acquire that would allow me to work with this computer even at the BIOS level.  I'm familiar with programs like remote desktop, gotomypc, vnc, etc but I need something that will allow me to work with the computer if the OS craps out.  Thanks in advance.

NO.  There is no such thing.  They don't even make inexpensive KVM's without the IP.  Dell has some, Real VNC makes one www.realvnc.com, and there are many others.  I have used several, and it is definitely worth putting the money into purchasing a decent one.  If you use Dells, buy a dell KVM, if you us HP, see what HP recommends.  The cheap ones will lockup and then you have to go a reset them, sometimes locking other servers in the process.  Generally not a good thing, and it defeats the purpose of having a remote KVM.

Let me clarify.  When I say inexpensive, I don't mean 49.95.  If this device exist great.  Where and how much?  Again though, I just need something that will enable me to remotely administer the computer worse case scenario I can't get into the GUI.

this is a single KVM over ip option,  might work for you

these are expensive for a unit.  but a full ip kvm switch could cost up tyo and over $8,000.  this unit should be around $700.  plus you only need one server connnected at this site, so the switch would be over kill
