MX - DNS - SMTP questions
Hi,
This is my first time setting up an exchange server from home so please bear with..
Basically I've brought a domain "plushdafunk.com" and had my registra (fasthosts) point it to my static IP 81.149.161.172 provided by my ADSL provider (BTopenworld). I've setup my DNS & MX stuff free on web-dns.co.uk.
I setup my Exchange 2003 srv and used the wizard to guide me through my Mail SMTP connector... Sending Email works fine, but I can't receive Email. :(
Opened up port 25 to my Exch srv on my router/firwall - I can Telnet to it from external.
I've check my config on www.checkdns.net and it tells me that Some of my MX do not work properly -Answer from ns1.nsnoc.com: host 10,mail.plushdafunk.com not found. (my server name is not called "mail")
Is there a problem with my MX record hosted on web-dns? is it a problem the SMTP connector on my exchange? is there a problem with my Domian DNS setup? Or is it something to do with BTopenworld ? Please help..
