SBS Remote Web Workplace / Outlook Web Access Problem

I have a problem at a customers site accessing RWW and OWA.  Every once in awhile, the remote access would just stop working.  Rerunning the Remote Access wizard fixes it, but this seems to happen after every reboot and there is no reason why we should have to rerun the wizard every time the computer is rebooted.

I'm pretty sure it's an IIS problem.  It says Error 500 - something about a certificate chain or something like that.

Anyone have any idea what could be going on here?

Is this SBS Premium?  Do you have SP1 installed?

Yes, it is SBS Premium, sorry about that.

SP1 is not installed.  It is ISA 2000, not 2004.

You need to also run the CEICW (Configure Email and Internet Access Wizard) again.  On the Certificate page, select to create a new certificate.  Then rerun the Remote Access Wizard once more and that should resolve things for you.

If it doesn't, open ISA and remove the certificate from the Incomming Tab, then create a server publishing rule to route using https defintion to the internal IP address of the SBS.

Running the CEICW wizard also fixes the problem, but only temporarily.  I have tried creating new certificates in the past, and that doesn't fix it.  This has been an ongoing problem for months and I every time I think that it is fixed it ends up breaking again.

I haven't changed the certificate in ISA.  I will try that out next, and hopefully that takes care of it.

Thanks

It's working much faster now.  I'm not 100% sure if it is fixed or not, but I think it is.
