The best example on what I am looking for is what they have in airports and hotels, where you have to pay. Using a open wireless network, you connect to the WAP. Upon opening up IE, it goes to a default web page, looking for a log in. What software would be able to do this for you. I think that Pilot truck stops use the same thing. I don't need anyone to pay, just to be able to restrict people to having to enter a username and password to get past the default page. Thanks.

It sounds like you just want basic security.  I don't know of any software that would redirect to a page and disallow access until they log on, but you could just lock down the wireless network and require encryption.  Users would have to setup their computers once and then they should be able to connect anytime they are in range automatically.  But if you are trying to leave the network open to prevent users from having to configure their computers and still force a login, this solution will not work.

I installed a Dlink hotspot gateway a couple months ago and have had awesome luck with it.  The model number is DSA3100.  Good Luck.
