Netware on Linux

We are having a discussion at work about loading Symantec Corporate Anti-Virus Server on Netware which Symantec's fact sheet says is possible.  None of us know a whole lot about Netware or Linux.  And this question came up:

Would Netware run on top on a Red Hat Linux box?  Or is Netware it's own OS?
Who is Participating?
I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Netware as it was (old) was it's own OS.

Now, if you want "Netware"  you use Novell's OES (open enterprise linux) which is built on SLES (Suse Linux Enterprise Server)

You could run netware in Vmware, on top of RH linux (or any other linux.. or windows too)
