Are there any situation that hypertreading is better or equipvalent to duo core

No. Dual core will always achieve more performance. Hyperthreading simply tricks the pc into thinking it has another processor.

HT is one physical CPU.it has idle cycles that makes it appear like a 2nd cpu.  Here is a link regarding that

Regarding dual core..2 processors are put together in a single IC product.

HT is dependant on what you are using it for..such as non-linear video editing or 3D rendering would be good apps that would benefit.
